[Chr24] Night Terror

Plink.

Maisiel felt her body jerk awake, snow had fallen on the ground in front of and around her.  She looked up, the roof was caved in, exposing the night sky.  Snow was gently falling, it was almost peaceful, if she had remembered how she got there.  She tried her best to stand up, her body almost felt weightless, though.  She heard the jingle of the chains and finally realized that a large chunk of metal was around her neck.  How she didn't notice it before was weird, but now that she knew, she could feel the weight of it.  She soon heard distant voices, ones that she couldn't quite make out what the voices were saying.

"- fight"

She was able to discern that word out of it all.  Fight?  The word repeated through her mind.  Her heart began to pound, and soon enough it seemed like it was all she could hear.  Fight.  Fight.  Fight.  She was chained up.  She didn't know where she was.  She was separated from the rest of them.  Where was her Twiwa?  She remembered having it with her last memory she had.  Wait.  What was the last thing she remembered?  She tried her best to think, but it was like a fog was keeping her from being able to.  Soon there were footsteps, and she turned her attention over to the humans that now stood in the door.  They carried torches.  Were they going to fight her?  It would be one-sided.  She glared at them, allowing a low growl to come out of her throat.  She was scared, she couldn't exactly hide that.  They stepped aside to let a Night Plague walk into the room they'd been keeping her.  It felt like forever as it came sauntering over.  Was it aware of what their plans were?  It stared at Maisiel, she didn't give up her defensive stance.

As it approached, it then turned it's attention aside, causing Maisiel to look in the direction as it began to walk up to.. Maki?  Panic further set in as he was laying on the ground, she hadn't noticed him before.  Was he there the entire time?  Where were Yvena and Klasp, then?  The Night Plague lunged towards Maki and Maisiel found herself lunging, though being pulled back as the chain tightened.  She fell back onto her side and tried to get back up as it let out a breath that was able to freeze Maki into a block of ice.  She shook her head.  She couldn't reach him, as close as he seemed, she couldn't quite get to his side.  It turns away, glancing back at Maisiel as she gave it another glare.  As it began to walk away, and with a flick of it's tail, it hits Maki.  He shattered into pieces.  What was going on?!  Maisiel went to let out a scream but nothing came out as she tried to cry out in the pain she'd been feeling.

"Maisiel!"

There was that familiar voice.  The other bucks stood around a kicking and whining Maisiel.  She must have been having a nightmare.  Maki stepped closer and rested his head against hers, "You need to wake up.  You're okay."  She jerked awake, growling.  He backed off as she quickly tried to get herself on her feet.  She froze up as she looked around.  The room was warm, a soft fire was contained in the fireplace as it let out gentle crackles.  The group looked worried as they looked at her.  She felt something touch her leg and looked down to see Yvena's Polar Bavee looking up at her, almost as if it was trying to comfort her.  She looked around, her eyes land on Maki and relief washes over her.  She doesn't say a word.  What words were there to express the relief?  The pain that had been so real at losing him.  She looks aside at the Glacial Twiwa resting on the window sill.
