Pup Designing Help
When designing pups here is a guide to help you.
Color Count
Color count is the number of colors present on the pelt (fur).
Color count does NOT count from the following:
-Inner ears
-Horns
-Hooves/Paw pads/Claws
-Eyes
-Accessories
-Mouth
-Nose
This means any colors from the list above SHOULD NOT be in the pelt color palette or count towards the final color count. (Unless one of those colors is also present on the pelt of the parents).
Note: Keep in mind some rarity traits have different rules
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Horns
-Horns must be either one of the parents or a combination of both
-Can be any color
Eyes
-Eye color must be from the parents. Can be from both (IE; Heterochromia)
-Not a mix of two eye colors resulting in a new color
Mouth
-Teeth, tongue, and gums can be any color
Hooves/Claws/Paw Pads
-Can be any color
Inner ears
-Inner ears can be any color
Tails
-Tails must be one of the parents. It can be from one of them or a combination of both
-If rarities are involved then the tail should bend to the rarity of that pup. For example; say one of the parents is a terror mutt but doesn’t sport a terror tail. If a pup is rolled terror it is still required to have a docked tail regardless of its parent’s tails because rarity restrictions still apply
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Minimum Black and White
Min B&W can be anywhere where the blue is shown on the chart below
MUST BE WITHIN THE BLUE AREAS
-You can use both Black and White
-It does not have to be solid black or solid white. It can be a lighter or darker shade of the pelt color
Example:

Gradients
When running into a parent with gradients this is how you will count the colors present-
THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY COLOR FROM THE RED BOX IN YOUR PUP’S PELT PALETTE.
-You may customize your pups with accessories
-Fur types must be what is given in their Geno
-Fur types are labeled on the provided base file
-YOU CANNOT ALTER FUR TYPES OF IMPORTS ON THE BASE
-When making custom lines, please display the appropriate fur type accurately. It should not appear as another fur type or a mix of two.
-You will need the fur extension item to play with fur shape and length.
Mutts
When dealing with mutt genos (I.E Terror x Normal) You can do many different combinations with the traits. For example a Terror with a longer tail (Tail of the Normal Parent) Or a Normal with Terror claws. The possibilities are endless!
Mutts with more than 2 rarities are a thing! You can do many different combos with that as well. You do need at least 1 rarity trait from each trait that the pup has in the genos.
Example:
Notes
-you cannot mix traits together. That is called morphing and you will need a Item to do that.
-morphs do not equal traits. You need at least 1 visible trait of each rarity trait still.
Example:
-In this example, this character has an ear morph (morphing the lepi ear with the dune burrow to create a lepi-type ear that doesn't have the upper "wing" shape) and a scale morph (Morphing the lepi scales so they are broken up and not connected. This is done by morphing with the dune burrows no scale arms.)
