Mistletoe laughed as she trudged through the snow on the forest floor, dropping to roll and stab her hooves in the air playfully toward her husband.

Bramble chuckled, backing away from her hooves as his tail gave a slight wag.

"Silly, we're never gonna finish a snowman before dark if you roll in every snowdrift!" He yapped, scooping a pile of snow in his hoof and dropping it on her face before launching through the snow away from her again.

"Hey!" Mistletoe coughed and laughed as she shook the snow from her face and chased after her husband.

Holly followed behind the two of them slowly, smiling to herself as she watched them play in the snow.

Cera, a Glacial Twiwa who had taken a liking to her constant scraps, rode on her back. The testy bird like critter preferring her company over the wet snow.

Holly couldnt blame her, and stopped every now and then to shake the melting ice from her paws before continuing, staying in Bramble and Mistletoes tracks as much as she could.

When she arrived in the clearing they'd chosen, Mistletoe was already halfway through rolling the first section of the snowman. Cera quickly fluffed her wings and took off to Perch in a nearby tree, happy to have her own space. Holly felt her fur prickle in the cold spot where her pet had been sitting, and grumbled to herself a little.

"Why didnt we do this earlier?" The hooded buck asked curiously as she looked to where the sun began to dip in the bright blue sky. "I get that it was a beautiful day, but its practically over." She asked, tilting her head.

Bramble smiled and stopped rolling the midsection of the snowman.

"Mistletoe wants an ice man that will last all winter, we tried earlier this year but the powder snow is too soft and chalky." He heaved audibly as he pushed the midsection again to round it more. "We figured if we let it melt in the last bit of sun, then we could come out and make a melty snowman right before it freezes into ice when night falls."

"I guess that makes sense."

Holly said with a shrug, looking to her sister as she panted trying to get the base into its place. She didnt want to get that wet, but she was sure she could help, and quickly she began trotting around to any sections under trees that were without snow. Grabbing any large pebbles she could find.

Once she was sure there was more than enough for her sister to choose from, the fae offered them to Bramble to keep safe with the carrot they'd brought, before she slowly began to climb the same tree that her pet had gone up, finding herself a good anchor below the twiwa, hanging between two branches.

She stared down and dozed as her sister and brother in law toiled about their snowman. Dropping a snowball on her sister every now and then to crack a laugh.

Mistletoe was unbothered, shaking the snow from her fur whenever it fell without ever questioning it. She was too focused. As soon as she and Bramble had the third ball on top, she bounded around it gleefully.

"Aaa I hope this works!" She squealed, before hurrying to help Bramble with the decorations.

As the chill of the evening began to set in, Bramble and Mistletoe stepped back to admire their creation, Bramble faking a sniffle dramatically.

"Hes... beautiful, Mistletoe." He said with a chuckle, making her laugh, before she looked back at it and shook her head.

"I dont know... hes missing something."

Without warning, the fae whirled around on her husband and tackled him into the snow, pulling away with his scarf in her mouth and quickly pulling it away from him, leaving him laughing uncontrollably as she padded over to the snowman and wrapped it around its neck.
