☽ Story ☾

Zerem is an Aquatic Gem Leobuck living in the Outskirts of the Sky Cities. Zerem was born in Gen 6, being praised for his intelligence. Zerem was born in the LDC lab and took classes to become a show buck. Because of his bright colors and gems, he was bought quickly by a private buyer who bought multiple show bucks for fashion shows. He started modeling at the age of 10 and lived a successful life until he was 20. Zerem prefers his feral form and luckily for him, his owner had both humanoid buck shows and feral buck shows. He was constantly praised for both his fur colors and how he spoke. From a young age when he was learning English, he excelled and managed to graduate early. He has written small novels and articles for his owner's fashion magazine line. He helped socially anxious bucks who needed to speak to crowds or a potential buyer on how to speak clearly and confidently. After being owned for 2 years, Zerem was his owner's best and was his prized model, but when he turned 18 and said that he didn't want to do any more shows, his owner did not take it well.

 Zerem's owner forced him to do more shows to make them more money, putting a larger clapper in his bell so he was tracked at all times. He was also given shock bracelets in case he left the perimeter of his owner's property. As much as he tried, he couldn't do anything to tamper with his bell or remove the shock bracelets. He was constantly asked about his bracelets. They were sleek and nice, but Zerem always brushed them off as a way for his owner to keep the 'buck they owned organized and to avoid telling them the truth. After 2 years, Zerem was becoming staved and skinny. His owner still hated him for wanting to become "rogue." When another 'buck noticed this, they decided to help him. The 'buck that helped Zerem was also a prize, awarded for their intelligence in technology. They managed to get the bracelets off and show Zerem a secret passage that leads outside the property but he was still worried because his bell was tracking him. The 'buck got the clapper stuck with honey they had. A temporary solution, but he quickly fled. Luckily his owner lived near an ocean in the sky cities and fled into it, but they were soon alerted and spotted. He managed to get deep enough to where bullets lost their effect but was caught by a net. He made his way deep underwater so they couldn't catch him, but he still struggled since he couldn't remove the net in his feral form and risked further injuring himself or choking himself if the net twisted the wrong way if he changed forms.

Zerem was already weak, letting the ocean take him away. Further out in the sea or on a shore, he wasn't sure but he let the waves sweep him around. After a few days, he was soon washed up on a shore in the Outskirts. He had blacked out from feeling weak but awoke to the sound of a knife cutting rope. He looked and found another Leobuck. He was strong and built with lots of muscle. After he was freed, the 'buck put a basket of fresh fish in front of Zerem and left. Zerem accepted the kind offer and ate, replenishing his health. He and this 'buck talked and started to get to know him. His name was Clementius and he lived in the abandoned city that was a few hundred feet away from the shore. Zerem was happy to find a 'buck like him and decided to stay nearby and live as a "roommate" more or less. He helps Clementius fish and gives him advice on how to properly care for Clementius's boyfriend Kii, another ocean-based buck who was a Pacific Lotus.

A 'buck Zerem met while Clementius was fishing, Because of his kindness, Zerem helps Clem with deep-water fishing and gives him tips on how to properly care for Kii.

Zerem met Harbor when he was out at sea studying. Zerem visits him at his lighthouse or when he's out at sea and brings him samples that are on the deep-ocean floor and helps him with identifying fish, coral, and other sea life.

Fisk and Zerem met while they were both doing deep diving. They share a passion for sea life and like to study it and talk about the ocean often.
