Southern Pole Buckleo

Southern Pole Buckleos, as their name suggests, originate from the south. In ancient times, Southerns were the only species that populated the South. The South was known for its ice-covered lands where Southerns were rumored to live in large ice castles. The South and North knew of each other but did not get along. The Northerns saw the Southerns as barbaric wildmen and that was partially true. The Southerns had older traditions and laws that caused them to seem more rugged and lawless to the outsiders' perspective, but this didn’t mean morals or law were absent. Southern Pole Buckleos pride themselves on their great strength and tough skin. Even today, current-day Sourtherns will still carry their proud nature and are competitive in any activity they partake in.

In today's age, the Southern Pole Buckleo is still talked about in the history books. Often mentioned in regard to the Great War that happened many years ago. The Great War is what nearly wiped Southerns off the map. The war was between two separate Southern tribes (Koakaa and Ttathem). It divided the entire South. This rift between tribes was the weak point of the South and left them open to outsider attacks. The War was to determine who would be King of the South. It was a bloody war that lasted for years. In the end, Ttathem was the victor of this war, and their descendants still live in today's world.

Not all of Koakaa was completely wiped, there are some descendants out there. It's common for today's Koakaa and Ttathem descendants to dislike each other.

Their relationship with the North is still the same today, the North still sees the South as lesser intelligence.

Crowned Dire (Seasonal)

Crowned Dire

Download Base

Many stories throughout Ttakor say that Crowned Dires are the children of the moon goddess, Nueis. Some stories talk about the moon goddess falling in love with a Skaejai and wishing to be with him. She made herself mortal and had children with him. All these stories stem from the fact that the Crowned Dires' "crown" is made of the same rare mineral called "Moon Dust."

Crowned Dires are known for the striking crests, or "Crowns," on their heads. Their crowns start from the inner corner of their eyes, travel up the brow bone, and wrap around the sides of their faces.

Crowns do not count for the color count.

Crowned Dires have what you call a "Hood." The hoods on Crowned Dires are their ears. They start from the head where the ears would start and travel down the sides of the neck and into the forearm. The hood is connected to the skin it travels on. The hoods can be fluffy or semi- fluffy, as seen in the example below.

Hoods (and every item colored in dark gray) do not count for the color count.

Crowned Dires have no visible claws but a sizeable permanent dew claw inherited from their closely related cousins, Sun Dires.

Crowned Dires have exposed back thick clawed toes unlike their other Dire counterparts. These feet are also equipped with a large back dewclaw. Along the backside of their hocks, the Crowned Dire has long, sharp osteoderms. Many Crowned Dires learn to fight with their legs, using those spikes as a weapon to defend themselves.

Claws and spikes do not count toward the color count.

Crowned Dires can come in many different tail and horn shapes, so long as they follow the general species' tail guide.

Social characteristics

Crowned Dires have a social dynamic known as High-Born and Low-Borns.

High-Borns will always have their signatured "crowns" while Low-Borns do not have their crowns. Low-Borns happen when a Crowned Dire has a child with a 'buck that is not a Crowned Dire or not a pure Crowned Dire. When using the item Camouflage, you may create a pure Crowned Dire with no crown, making them a Low-Born.

As an option for Low-Borns, you may crop your Low-Born's hood to show its status further as a Low-Born, as seen in the example below.

High-borns are seen as the purest of Crowned Dires and are often treated as Kings and Queens despite not having an ounce of royal blood. This is mainly due to the crowns that concile moon dust. Low-borns are not treated terribly; they often still share close bonds with their family trees. Being a Low-Born means you are not at risk of being murdered for your crowns, and you'll frequently see them taking a carrier path in the military, police force, or the royal onslaught. High-Borns are often hunted by dark guilds of the under rot for their crowns, as moon dust is a very rare mineral that is highly desired. Due to this nature of things, Low-Borns often feel obligated and almost driven to protect the High-Borns.

Not everything is as friendly as it seems, however. Many will always treat Low-Borns as whipped dogs who only live to protect their High-Borns and have no free will.  Many Low-Borns cannot help this as it's taught since birth how endangered the High-Borns are and how it's "their" duty to protect them as their familia.

Moon dust

Moon Dust is a rare mineral from moon rocks that fall into ttakor. It is also found inside the crests of the Crowned Dires. This mineral is used in medicine and in the drug Saarksi. Saarksi is a neuro drug that, in high dosage, eats the brain and causes death. It is often sought after by individuals who wish to cause harm without getting caught, as Saarksi leaves no trace. It's an expensive drug.

Moon dust in medicine is used to cure many nasty, otherwise fatal diseases.

Due to their popularity, Crowned Dires are at risk of being targeted for their crowns. A Crowned Dire can live without its crown; however, most, if not all, cases end with the death of the Crowned Dire as the ones who committed the crime wish not to be caught.
